I hope that my sailing continues in the mighty 21se my big problem is pulling the dead weight up the beach on the summer vacations. I hope that my kids marry strong people who like to sail. at home the boat sits on its own dock in the backyard mast up ready to go which is pretty nice.
just wish I did not worry about fatal damage to the mast and comp tip
did get a catalina 18 for going slow and easy however In big winds it does get interesting
good luck

Oh no, no, no! Just take it out on the next good wind day, and ask yourself (while on the water) if you still think selling it is a good idea!
What could possibly replace her?
I've spent very little time on my 16 this summer, and since I setup the boat so I can solo rig, the little extra time over rigging the 16 pays off on the water bigtime!
BIG, smooth, fast, comfortable...

I had a great sail last weekend on my 21se...Saturday, the wind approached 20mph and Sunday's wind was near 30mph. I should have used my storm jib... :o ...I am glad my buddy Eric who also owns a 21 was skipping my boat as I worked the jib and stayed in the trapeze all day long.( He wants to do a trip to Florida's panhandle this fall with me and my boat..don't tell his wife...
And here on Monday, I am not all that sore...thank God for the wind and the company............ :D

While rigging my boat,we had a good discussion about me possibly selling my boat and it's replacement...What would I buy? I like new F18's but what about the wing seats which are so comfortable... I am still keeping my mind open as well as I can
... Again, help me.........

Bill don't do it! Unless you sell it to someone on the lake where I sail!
The 21 is an awesome boat! We placed first in our community fleet race series with it this year Every one that sails with me loves the space and easy sailing, comfort and speed!
I think about selling mine when I have to push it up the beach. But then I think about making a winch or something like that! We have a thirty mile run down the length of lake George this weekend and will do it in style on the mighty 21se

As to the F18, my sailing buddy has a tiger with wings installed. It works quite well.
Still, no beaching the boat, overall fragile.
Not a fair trade in my opinion.

Yes, I am revisiting the idea of downsizing to just one boat. I had three catamarans, two Hobie 16's and my 21SE . I sold one 16 and still have a rare find...a 1981 Hobie 16 left in storage since '85. Well I finally started sailing this beautiful 16 and have had a blast... :D

And yes, I have pulled this wide boat (10' 4" is the trailer width) all over the country...some 220,000 miles on my first Suburban and 336,000 on my new Suburban without any real problems...I did pull a basket off a toll booth once with my guide roller and I have knocked down my share of orange cones in construction zones... sorry....Now my kids are off on their own and the 16 is so easy to setup and sail...what am I too do?

Several sailors have approached me wanting to buy my 21SE and I am entertaining this idea...HELP...

I am taking a trip south and do little coastal dash next week from Panama City Beach to Fort Walton Beach and back....do a serious reflection of what kind of sailing keeps me happy......anyone one want to tag along for part of this run? We should leave St. Andrew State Park Monday? depending on wind and weather............. :D
