hard to tell, but do you have the peddle system in?

Also wondering about the rudder and how much it can take. Looks like you have it up upon entering but then its down once you are paddling. Are you actually using the rudder at all or is it just free flowing. Wondering how much torque the rudder can take against such whitewash energy since its only plastic.

When I first jumped in, I realized that my paddle had been put together incorrectly, so I had to come back in to get it sorted out. All good after that.

I did indeed record the whole thing, it was a very very hard place to paddle - these things just broke and dumped in every direction (including backwards - that caught me off guard). The speed at which they were hitting the beach was unreal too, just too fast to actually get on top of or handle the timing. Happy to have not broken anything, myself or my gear.

Awesome - glad you like it. I hope it inspire's other people to get out there and do cool stuff. It inspires me to get out and keep pushing too! I have four more days of kayaking planned, and the surf looks rough for at least the next three of those. More to come!

I put a sailing kit rudder on the back for better tracking - it makes a HUGE difference. The inflatables track surprisingly well for what they are (a raft!), but they have a lot of surface area and are easily affected by wind. The big rudder totally helps. Not sure how strong it really is, but I guess I'll find out! And yes, I had the revolution drive in, and was experimenting with a few different techniques for launching. The instinct is to paddle, and its nice to be able to brace and lean into an oncoming wave, but the speed of the fins is unmatched in that kind of water - so I they are a much better weapon for that kind of war. You really cant do both, it's just too much to paddle, peddle and steer when a wall of water is charging at you. I also really need to be able to brace with the boat (you give that up if you try to do both, making a nock down much more likely).
