Hello All,

Happy New and hopefully better year to everyone. I am new here; I just placed a deposit on a '21 iTrex11(may be spelling it wrong), the new version of the i11s. I am going to use it primarily for fishing and I'm really excited about it, I have been using a Sea Eagle Fish SUP for 2 years and I'm really looking forward to not putting my fishing rod down and picking up a paddle every time I need to move a bit. Nothing against my Sea Eagle, it has been bullet proof and I just underestimated how much I would need to swap between rod/paddle when I ordered it.

That said, I have a few questions. I see the Turbo fin upgrade being discussed; what is involved with these and what are the pros/cons of them. Is it possible to amend my order and have it just come with them? It sound like most think they are worth the cost? I am a long-time cyclist so leg exercise is nothing new to me so I'm hoping to be able to really scoot some reasonable distances with it, but in general, I'll be on large ponds/small lakes. Ideally, I end up combining my 2 favorite passions, cycling and fishing. I realize it is not a rotary pedal cycle btw. Next, pumps; my Sea Eagle came with a an electric pump that has variable psi setting and it shuts off when the desired psi is reached. I find it really handy as I can set up gear on the sup while it is inflating. Assuming I can sort out the valve fitting see any reason why I couldn't use this same pump on my Hobie?

Thanks,
Scott

My first Hobie was a 2010 Outback that came with the standard fins......I decided to upgrade to Turbo fins and on the Outback, it made a big difference in speed with really no noticeable
difference in pedal effort. My pedal cadence was less for the same speed as with the original fins.

I would assume that you could expect the same improvement would happen, with Turbo fins on the iTrex11.
