I have flown a DJI 3 Advanced successfully from my TI on open water. It is possible with hand launching and catching, but it is not for the faint of heart nor those who haven't practiced plenty on land before doing so. I cannot recommend it if you are not prepared to lose your drone. Don't forget a waterproof case if you choose to attempt this.
