I have an early model 2009 AI, which did not come with pedal bungees.
I don't like to have to either flex my ankles to slip my feet into the rotated pedals
and especially not have to lean over to insert my feet through the pedal straps

Does anyone have a photo of how the pedal bungees are installed on the pedals.
I have experimented with bungee cord but each time the cord tries to ride upward and
the pedals then flip around.

I don't have Hobie's new pedals, but here's a picture of my pedals. The bungee has never given me problems.

Thanks for the photo...I guess my 'home-made' bungees were too long...
I will shorten them up.

Would someone post what knot they are using to form the bungee loop through the pedal to keep it upright. The knot in the picture above appears to be a very small knot. I was going to use 3/16 bungee, is there a smaller diameter that should be used? Is it tied with just a light tension on the bungee?

I just used a square knot. I would use a smaller diameter bungee, I've used bigger and they are harder to use for this. All else fails, use a piece from a ball bungee (easy to find) thought smaller still would be better.

I decided a simple through hole was too easy. I used small plastic cable clamp instead:

(that's a 4-40 screw and 1/8-inch bungie, for scale)
