Hi, I'm thinking about buying a TI, and I have some questions that I'm hoping to get answered here (because I don't know anyone with a TI).

The main questions are concerning the difference between the 2014 and 2015 Models:
1) 2014 has Miragedrive V2 and 2015 has Glide Tech, right? Is there substantial difference between the two?

2) Other than the Miragedrive, comfy seats, and more modern hull design, is there any other differences between the two models.

3) I'm 6'4", am I going to be able to adjust the peddles enough to fit me? I'm not concerned about headroom 'cause I'm used to ducking a boom.

Any further insight/advice would be greatly appreciated. I've been reading the forum posts, and have learned a lot so far... But there is a lot of reading to do and I'm sure I've missed stuff. Many thanks!

I don't have my TI yet, but I can answer some of your questions based on my test sail and what I've seen spec wise in the '15.

1) The '15 has the V2 with glide tech. All glide tech is is an update to the bearings.

2) The only other difference that you didn't mention is that it's Lawrence ready if you want to install one.

3) I'm 6' and I had the peddles set at the middle setting. I think there were 3 more settings above that with each setting about an inch in length. You still want to set the peddles like a bike, with a slight bend in your knee in the extended leg. Depending on how low you set the new seat you may not even need to duck. I know on the new AI they cut the sail higher to provide for more headroom. They might do the same with the TI.

Other than that I think you've picked an excellent boat and you won't be disappointed. I know I'm super stoked to take delivery of mine in the spring.

1) As already mentioned bearings and different colours of fins and other parts.
2) Revised bows, flatter floor, seat drain plug controls, removal of side handles, Lowrance-ready
3) You will fit with the pedals set in one of the forward settings (Nos. 6 or 7). I am also 6'4", and have a raised skipper seat sitting on a platform resting on the side rails, (so at least 5 inches higher than standard), and can manage in the front seat (although I try to avoid caps with a button on the top, as the sail seems to grab this)

You will have a ball. :D

Not sure about the features on the new TI, but I am 6-4 and own a TI. I use the Mirage Drive on the #7 position, and it works fine. I sit on a boat cushion, so I do have to help the mainsail over when it is windy. Otherwise, you can get whacked in the head by the block or mainsheet.
