To all owners of Hobie kayak here at RTP area, let's have a day of bass fishing at Jordan lake in Apex. Let's setup a monthly mini tournament just to motivate us more to go out and have fun. Let me know those interested and their contact information. we'll have the first meet once we establish the first 5 members. I know 2 with pro anglers so i2 more ...I'm looking to start with 25.00 entry fee and winner takes it all. Who knows we might get some sponsors to increase the winning prize. I will talk to dealers for sponsors once I establish the list of members to increase the prize. It can also be a crappie fishing tournament.

There's so many things we can gain if we (Hobie owners) come out together. Having a mini tournament might make us more focus on fishing than in rigging the kayak. Also having a tournament with a trophy prize will give us a great feeling and maybe a sense of accomplishment. We can start with Crappie fishing to have a good start. I think it's more prestigious to say to our spouse and friends that we go out on weekends for a tournament. Show off your kayak and trailer rig for others to learn, help members rig their kayak/trailer at the lake and also plan for an inlet fishing trip. It will be less costly if we go out in groups. We can share cost of hotel, food, etc... So guys PM me your contact information so we can start ASAP....

This invitation is open for all HOBIE kayaks including Hobie AI and TI.

Andrew, Nice to hear from you. I'll include you to my list.

Not a fisherman but picked up a TI last fall and having fun learning how to make it go. Keep me in mind for events around eastern NC this year and I can trailer over to have fun and learn from the more experienced.
