Hi all,

It's finally summer up here in Southwest Michigan and Lake Michigan has provided great sailing. Winters stink up here, though, and it's never too early to start planning for the winter getaway vacation. I'd love to know of any destinations in the Florida Keys or Caribbean that rent either an AI or TI. I'm half tempted to trailer my TI down to the Keys and camp and sail... but a 22-hour drive with the TI on the trailer doesn't sound like a lot of fun. This past winter, I stayed in Marahon, FL and rented a small Hobie cat sailboat, which was a blast.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

Florida Bay Outfitters, in Key Largo. Great selection of kayaks and they have brand new TIs and AIs very well set up.
They are in a relatively enclosed section of water, but still big enough for a full day of sailing and exploring. Just be advised finding them once on the water for a few hours is rather challenging. Bring GPS or be very good at visual reckoning.
