Has anyone had a look at this seat as an option for the A.I.?

Yes, I installed that very seat into my 2007 AI. To do so, I had to cut off part of the bottom, rear support bar so that seat leg would rest inside the cup holder on left side and on the flat area on right side. I tried it on a very windy day on J Percy Priest Lake with great success! Made a huge difference on my aching old back.

That is a steel seat! Fine for fresh water, but a pile of rust after a year or 2 in salt water.
