Update: The design and build of the Torqeedo 1103 AC TI mount has been completed and it came out great. Now it's time to test it, but that should just be a formality as it's far stronger than actually required. Still, I will test it thoroughly just to be certain.

After testing is complete, I will document and post all the results. Having a fully documented and easily replicable mount made of readily sourced inexpensive components will open the door to almost anyone who wishes to mount the 1103 AC on a TI/AI or most other ruddered kayaks. In addition to the 1103 AC, it should also work for the Torqeedo 403 AC and the Newport Vessels NK180 as they use essentially the same mount.

Update:As promised, here is a fully detailed, replicable, easy-to-build motor mount for the Torqeedo 1103 AC. It should also work for the Torqeedo 403 A, 403 AC, and even the Newport Vessels NK180.

This new guide essentially replaces this original 403 guide to cover the new Torqeedo A-Series motors mount that now come standard with the new A-Series mount.

Hi pro10is
apologies, late to the table, have to install 403 UL with ball mount. Different kayak, no flat surfaces to put the plate on the rails. Nobody sells ball mount - and yes, I checked you link to Murray Sports. Bought parts from Torqeedo, putting it together. In your opinion, strengthwise is it important to use the entire 40 cm length of the boom? Motor will be hanging off the side, there is no need to clear the rudder. I plan to use half of the boom, leaving ~8" from the ball center to U-shaped rubber support and horizontal clamp. (Yes, rubber support is desirable on my thin Kevlar deck). Like in this photo of somebody's kayak below. Torqeedo UL Facebook group is malfunctioning, my post has been pending approval for weeks. After company had been absorbed by Yamaha, there are delays with parts and motors, probably FB is a ripple effect.
