Hi,

I have a ca 2 yrs old red TI with trailer. During a trip (ca 120 km) some time ago, the trailer developed some serious vibrations,
and at the end of that trip it turned out that the port ama and the hull had been in physical contact during those vibrations and
are now fused to each other. The area where this happened is where both hull and ama are widest, and is about 10-15 cm long.
It seems that the straps that fixed the boat to the trailer were routed outside both amas and were very tight. The starboard ama is not
fused to the hull, only the port one. I cannot/dare not/ separate them by hand. The red material has developed some thin spiraling
threads, and I do not know the properties of this material, nor the thickness in the affected area.
There are some photos of the affected area, hope I get them included here:

My guess is that similar problems may have happened to others before, and so I hope someone knows how to fix this issue.
Is it something I can do myself? E.g. cutting between hull and ama with a hot knife?
I certainly don't want to make any holes in the hull or ama.
What is the best technique to approach this repair?

Many thanks to mmiller for the hints about posting images!

Best, Haimo
