I haven’t tried it on the AI but this works well on our Tandem and Adventure when we are camping. For the AI you may need to add a support under the ama.
Just lift the stern and place a stool under then do the same to the bow. The cart remains in place ready to roll.

This is similar to what I used when I was away at Christmas. I used the same type of stools but added a nice big piece of pool noodle. Couldn't find any hull distortion even in the heat.

Cowsgomoo: Where are you actually putting those 'nice big piece of pool noodles' then? And Stringy, with the 'cart still in place,' is there any hull weight still on the cart itself, or do the camp stools take all the weight.....and if not, did you cut down the legs of the camp stools so they would evenly distribute the weight between cart and stools? Thanks

deacm,
Sharing a load over 3 points is difficult to achieve when the ground is uneven!
As per Hobie's recommendations I try not to let the cart share the load so there is no weight on the cart when the hull is on the stools. Although I think that recommendation is based on the oil-canning of the hull from the crossbar?
I have found the scuppers to be very strong and the balls ensure the load is taken by the strongest vertical tube of the scupper. I wheel my kayaks long distances and after 3+ years have had no problems. I'm a bit sceptical that long term storing on a cart that properly supports the scuppers can cause damage, though not sceptical enough to actually do it!

I just placed them on top of the stool. Was a bit worried about the metal parts contacting the hull. I guess it depends on the type of stool. The pool noodle deformed nicely around the hull.
