well when I've sold my Farrier I'll be putting in my order for a TI so there'll be one more Moreton Bay sailor!
hey Graham did you get the AI or the TI? and does anyone have a date for the Rivergate Hobie outlet opening?

Johnno

I spoke to Mal last week and it seems it has been delayed due to planning or something.

I understand my boat arrives today. I am not sure when it is going to be able to be picked up as I am picking it up from the Brisbane store which I understand is not open.

Mal said he will arrange something for me so maybe it comes tomorrow as I would not be 100% sure I will see it today. Would love to see it today though!

I'm expecting the call today too, I've got the 4Runner out the front, racks ready & motor idling! Not really, but I am ready to roll at a moments notice

This is literally killing me. I feel like a kid waiting for his mum to take him to the toy sales

I spoke to Mal about 6pm and they have arrived!

He is struggling to come to Brisbane so I guess I will make the trip and collect it instead.

I think I will go Thursday rather than Friday!

Thanks Max, no pics I'm afraid. In all the excitement the camera was left behind

Was still a great trip though, got there about 8:15 along with about 6 other peeps hoping to pick up their new pride & joy

Mal & co had their work cut out for them that day, goodness knows how many more rocked up after we took off

Took her strait over to Lake Macdonald but wind was very light so made best use of our time & packed up & headed for Wello Point

We put in at the park area at the end of Queens Esplanade at Thorneside just down the road from my place & belted over to King Island off Wello & back & forth a bit. Had fun, still got a lot to learn & get the hang of it but lotsa fun

The missus had to work so a mate came along, he almost loved it more than I did, I think it was because he didn't know what to expect whereas I had at least had a spin in an AI so had some idea of the thrill

Anyway smiles all round, very bit smiles

Hopefully get the missus out after lunch tomorrow, won't make the meet & greet Sat because I'm back to work after leave, be sure to let us know how it goes guys

O yeah, no idea how to post pics either, I'm a bit of a techno spaz

Guys, these forums don't allow you to upload a pic, so instead you need to get an account (free, I believe), at one of the many 'photo hosting' websites around, such as photobucket.com. Once uploaded there, you copy the photo's URL, and insert between [img] tags.

Bongorust

When I picked mine up there was crap everywhere (packing materials, etc) no doubt from the day before. Must have been chaos!

I am at work and was trying to make it to 12 but I am not going to get there. I am going now to Manly!

Might see you this afternoon then hey?

Winds are SE so I am looking at heading King Island way!!! so I get an easy ride home!

Well voyage 1 was a success!

Bit lumpy but made it to King Island.

ainut paid me a visit after collecting his TI and showed me a fix on the rudder fix that Hobie had done.

I have done this as the rudder would not stay in the channel where the bungee was run. Thanks ainut!

ainut is also not doing the trip tomorrow as winds are a little heavy for his better half so I am off again from Manly in the morning.
