Sorry folk's but the TI rudder is a banana product !
It ripens with the customer !

After beeing through the mod's with the new pin , drilled holes and rubber holddown the (otherwise great) TI is still, by use of this toy rudder system, allmost uncontrollable in a stronger wind (today only Bft.4-5)

Considering it's a Kayak .. it's sailing performance would be absolutely great if this rudder system wouldn't spoil comfort, controll, and the otherwise good feeling of security.

I also sail a Laser for 30 year's now and i have not spent 10% of the time fumbling around it's rudder in this period.

Dear Hobie designers please find a smart and working solution for this problem you build so many rigid rudders in the last 50 years - why this !?

Regards from Austria

Are you not aware of the replacement rudder program? All TIs are having rudders replaced. You can read here: http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=35376
