Also agree with you Pirate.
I didn't know that Chris. The hairs have gone up again.

Not many people know this but Egypt's Maritime also went self funded just before the riots broke out. George Negus said it was the paddle that broke the camels back.

Take note State Government, you are on notice!

I think you would bluff them out of the penalty though, if you advised them that the plackard was for European purposes only and did not relate to Australia. That would be my tack anyway, and if they did not see it my way I would resort to violence like any self-respecting pirate would naturally do....Pirate

Pirate,

Not sure if you know this or not but todays pirates do not harm
Take a look at all the pirates of the Caribbean movies (noted that most are already dead, but they keep coming back for another movie 8)

I have been out with 3 adults and 1 child out in Port Phillip Bay, the coast guard have past us a few times (I think they were checking to see we had PFD's on!); waved and moved on.

I think it is like when you are in the car; if you don't wear your seatbelt you will be pulled over and checked out. If you are doing the right thing they will just pass you by, so they will bever be able to read the lable :)

It's very clear to me that the placard refers to the Tandem Adventure (kayak) configuration. Obviously the boat comes with 2 seats so it's a 2 person boat. With the optional tramps in the TI mode, listed weght capacity and common sense sets the limitation.

To make matters worse, Maritime Services is now "self-funding", which means
Legalized theft
