What accessories did you get immediately with your Island?

Went to the paddlesports NJ show today, ordered the TI, trailer & cradles, tramps & cover! Can't wait!!!

Thanks! So excited. DH is a little concerned about the on-the-water visibility of my choice of dune (could have gotten a better deal on the yellow display boat they had there, but hey, girl wants the color girl wants) because Barnegat Bay, one of my sailing areas, is so full of idiot powerboaters. My feeling is we also had that problem when I had the 32' Catalina...

But I'm thinking of something like a 360 light for the top of the mast, can anything be mounted up there? I'm also thinking air horn will be close at hand. I mean the mast is 18 feet high, but he points out I won't always have the sail out.

The dune boats are very pretty, but I have kept to the yellow for the best visibility here on Maui. No matter the color, keeping the sail up when possible, especially when other boats are around, will help the most. The boat ramp I use for most launches and landings has a high break wall (like most) that has to be maneuvered around while coming and going. We have learned to put up our sail, even with no wind and just pedaling, so we're seen long before we clear the opening.

Just be sure to keep your boat under control as a strong unexpected gust in a confined space can get interesting, and ripping in way above slow - no wake could get some unwanted attention.
