yesterday we headed down to ft Desoto and out to Egmont. had a fantastic time. got another 20 miles logged with the mizzen. I'm actually starting to fall in love with it. the boat just feels so much more balanced with it. yesterdays test with mizzen furled I was close reaching at 5.5mph (6.0 later in the day) unfurl the mizzen and sheet it in and it jumped to 7.0-7.2 (and 7.6ish later in the day). these gains seem higher than my other tests so I remain skeptical... the boat DEFINITELY seems to handle better though.

I also found out the hard way that the "standard" wheels really are only capable of 150lbs!!!

Yea those standard cart wheels are made from ABS (I think,,,not very strong), I wish Hobie would switch to my new plastic (THRIVE), it's actually cheaper than the ABS but twice as strong and molds in half the time of any other plastic on the planet. Standard cart wheels molded in Thrive would easily withstand 300 lbs.
You know what they say, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink. Oh well.
