Yeah Roller, we feel your pain. I sold my AI in anticipation for this new boat so not only have I lost a complete summer to this as well, so to have the dealerships. It is extremely disappointing, but completely out of everyone's hands. Its unprecedented and couldn't have been predicted either. I'd like to think the new model will be worth the wait. Being so close to the glorious waters of Hervey Bay, I appreciate this has gotta be killing ya!

Josh I can literally hear the waves I'm that close to the water, the boat ramp is five minutes away

Heh heh heh, all quiet on the easten part of the planet now, me thinks.

Let us just wait for the AI's/TI's to start rolling in.

Excitement is in the anticipiciation, like when you were a child just before Christmas and waiting for the presents.

All is good boys and girls!

The thrill will be in the new AI sailing/fishing experience. Bigger, faster, drier ride, Lowrance ready and sailing higher into the wind, magic.

:-)))))))))))))

XD.

I could not get enough of pictures posted myself.. so I will post these of the 2015 TI I just picked up from the Anchorage in Colorado. This trailer was originally made for a canoe and I used it for my AI. Its is requiring some new mods to work with the TI but should work great..

Thank's for the pic's!

It's hard seeing a perfectly good 2015 Hobie Island sitting unusable in snow when we have beautiful warm water here in Hawaii to test them in, and no boats yet thanks in part to the port slowdown. My dealer order mine with many other AI's and TI's within hours of this years announcement, but like most, still waiting...

It appears that Hobie has squared off the stern of the TI. Now the rudder gudgeon will mate squarely up against it, reducing or even eliminating any further issues with the gudgeon bolts shearing off.

I completely agree (I almost felt bad about posting the pictures).. I guess it helps that Im much closer to where they are manufactured and no dock strkes in the path.

Pueblo res about 100 miles S of Denver (where the snow pictures were taken) allows boats on the lake even when there is some ice.. its open now and its also one of my favorite times of the year to go there.. no power boats and your likely to see Bald Eagles. As soon as the trailer is fixed up and registration taken care of, this boat is going to see some sailing (wearing a dry suit..). Arizona is only a day away with great sailing conditions right now also.

No problem Walt. I'm glad for you, that you have your boat. Maybe just a little bit jealous. :)

Thanks for the pix Walt, that is truly a sexy bit of kit, I love the new look bows. We had a customer call the other day asking how much a new Vantage CT seat was. When asked why, he said he forgot to clip the seat retaining lanyard onto the hull and tipped the boat over, not sure which hull he had. The seat sank to the bottom. I offered to retrieve it for him with my scuba gear (for the price cheaper than a new seat) which he declined. After I found out where the seat was lost I informed him the water at it's deepest was only 5 metres, so he must have got it himself. It could have been an expensive lesson though.

XD

Colorado, so close... I need a yellow one to make it just a bit further to Oklahoma!

And I'll be out the door to the lake with it in a heartbeat! Weather the past two weeks has been fine for kayaking - was out three days last weekend, went this morning, on the Outback. Really wish I was sailing already though...

I feel like I'm rubbing salt in the wound...its yellow, AI, in the garage now ready to be rigged.
Its also nearly 70f here,so I think I'm feeling the flu coming on.
Hull is noticeably heavier, akas much longer than I thought, and the seat is...complicated, but damn it looks comfortable.

Pics soon

I sat in one today. It is comfortable and if not, you have plenty of adjustments to make it comfortable. I think the main advantage of the seat, isn't necessarily in the boat, but in the fact that when camping or lunching you have a seat that can be removed and serve double duty. And... it's one hell of lot more comfortable than most "camp chairs" I'm familiar with.

I just read an article today where they are describing the west coast container shipping delay the worst they have ever seen.
