Does any member have the dodger with the older 'mast hole with flap' design?
My 2009 dodger has two side flaps that extend past the mast and are then held together by a strap and two bungee/eyelet attachments. If I bury the bow, water sweeps between the
fairly large gap between the two sides, around the mast and down onto my feet.

When I made my wave shields, I sewed a water-proof strap from one side shield to the other, which covered the open area around the mast and between the two side flaps.

I was wondering how much more effective, the previous design was in deflecting water?
