This has nothing to do with AI's or TI's but a few have asked me to post a video clip of my recent river kayak fishing trip down a Hunter Valley river. One Hobie out of the 3 so I suppose it does have some relevance to this forum. In hindsight the AI in adventure mode could have handled it OK but the river was a bit low and I am a bit anal about scratches. Allan, in the Hobie ( outback, i think ) took his mirage drive but didn't bother using it. 15kms in 2 days which equates to 1.07 km/hr. Now that's my kind of pace !

Hope you like it. Crank up the volume.

Slaughter you are really getting the hang of moving pics, very creative I really enjoyed it. Tell me how the hammock is working out and have you slept on board in the penthouse?

Dave - haven't slept in the penthouse yet but I am pretty impressed with the hammock. I still wouldn't say I'm 100% confident that the thing isn't going to drop. Even though I know it isn't, there is just this lingering thought. I have had a hammock break on me, at the head end, in the past and I thought I'd broken my neck. But as far as comfort goes, I do sleep better than I do in the tent.

CGM - I've been sworn to secrecy on the exact location of where we were, although the bass are gone now anyway, but there are 4 great rivers up in the Hunter that look very similar to this.

Thanks for the encouragement fellas. I'm wondering if 1080HD is worth the effort. Most home computers have trouble down loading it and the difference between it and 720HD is marginal anyway. Did it download for you blokes OK without stoppages ?

1080 can pause a little but I'm happy to just hit pause for a minute and let it get ahead.

BTW, what's that egg poacher thing at the start?

Slaughter - great video mate!. Very creative and relaxing.
The video downloaded and played without one glitch on my ADSL 1 connection - which is more than I can say for many of the videos I watch on You Tube etc.
I noted that you had your Hennessy hammock set up - looks pretty good - particularly if there are any ant nests, spiders, crocs, snakes, rats etc lurking about  :o
The fish on the bbq looked pretty good too - but I saw no sign of your signature Pavlova

CGM - Deb got them from Aldi. I'll give you one. Trouble for you is that it comes with a pug. He don't eat much. ( in fact that's a lie, he eats heaps as you can see )

Thanks Micky - Glad it seems to download OK. One thing good about where we camped was that there wasn't a bug in sight. Not one ant, fly, mozzy.... nothing. Fish must have ate them all. Fish, lizards and the odd cow was about it. Bass cooked like that is about as good as it gets. Caught about 50 between the 3 of us, in the 2 days and ate 6. The mate does this trip at the same time every year and is into the biology of the river, and all the data like fish numbers caught, water temperature, clarity, fish size etc etc is fed back to the fisheries department. So the trip felt kinda positive and beneficial.

Now who's showing off?
What a great storytelling effort. I really liked the intro.
Have you been to Film School in the last few weeks? You have raised the bar considerably with that effort. 8)

Didn't happen without pics though! :)

Stringy, ainut - Thanks for that. I'm just making sure I earn a place in that trip to the big island down south.

When is that again ???
