Thought you might be interested in seeing a short video I put together of a get-together with eight Islands in the Gippsland Lakes Victoria Australia two weekends ago. It features Mickey and his wife (Minnie of course) in his brand new Tandem Island and how proud they both look too. Hope you enjoy it and our background scenery we are lucky to enjoy all year round....Pirate

I've been so looking forward to this clip. Thanks Pirate, great video, great scenery, and Mini's got a great voice as well. Mickey looks pretty happy with his new toy. I noticed how the Dune steaks away from the rest. I've noticed that as well. It's like holding back a stallion in a herd of donkeys

How do you find the dodger ? It certainly looks the part.

Very nice video mate
It was a very memorable day to have Minnie on her maiden voyage and the entire local fleet turn out for the occasion.

The Dodger is a great asset to prevent sunburn, cold and spray on your legs. It is very easy to put on and can be folded forward out of the way at a moment's notice. I would't leave shore without one when I go sailing these days....Pirate

PS...Yes Slaughter the Dune AI's are considerably faster than the other colours which is supported by recent University Testing results.

They also look good for disguising the fact that you're pedalling like crazy from the other (becalmed) sailboats around you.

Hmmmmm...becalmed you say Chris?....I suppose if you say so. As for peddling - maybe, but everyone peddles because it makes us feel good exercising, though that's all it does when the wind gets up like it did in the video. No my friend there is no getting around the fact that dune AIs are far faster than yellow ones, and marginally faster than red. Oh by the way Chris, what colour do you own?...(Now look what you got me into Slaughter :? :) )....Pirate

I wasn't implying you were pedalling in your video Pirate, but I must admit to a sneaky pleasure in subtly pedalling past Lasers when the wind drops.
My boat is yellow, so of course I need to pedal extra hard

Lets settle who is fastest once and for all. Gringo put me onto this virtual regatta website and the race starts in a few hours. Sounds like fun. I have been registered in an around the world race for the last few days and I'm hooked. This other race starts in France and ends in Fort de France ( a french island just down to road from Gringo near the Turks. )

Have a look and see what you think. I've already kitted out my boat, assessed the wind and the tacktics I'll make, and I'm on the startline ready.

http://www.virtualregatta.com/

P.S. Finally named the boat. The name is an old family boat name that goes back years and seeing as I didn't officially name the last one, it can go on this one. (even though it was a dark day in our family history.)

Slaughter - it looks great on the multi colored dune hull
I've got 2 now without names :? It's a worry
Maybe I'll get inspired when the new rudders come in a month or so ( according to Matt).  :)
