Funny, yesterday I had to cartop the AI on my SUV to have the logo attached to the bow by the Pros. (This was after spending a month adding, and adding to the mass of the craft
It was then when I tried to get the bow up the back side of the SUV that the 62 lbs of the bare hull was closer to 80 to 85 lbs.
OUCH!
Yah, I removed the battery and a few other weight issues like 1 litre water bottles.
But the bottom line will always remain the same: One G on this planet will always remain to be the same amount of gravitational force.
Time to lighten the load for 'absolute' essentials (especially when you try to lift the craft on (or of) your rooftop...or if you want to get maximum speed out of this boat.
Anyone have a crane handy, so I can get this beast off my car roof?

Fred

A postscript to the last post...
Yes I very carefully watched ever piece of 'essential gear' yet it still seemed to add up at an exponential rate.

Moral of the Story: Sometimes less is more....or why not add a diesel generator, 200 square feet of solar panels, a desalinator, a small Hot tub, 2 guest cabins...and a Partridge in a Pear tree...
Naw, wrong boat, Buy a Grand Banks 50 and wallow in the chop.

(Just Kidding)
