New Sailing Group Meets

A group of owners of the Adventure Island and Tandem Island have formed along the Front Range of the Rockies (in Colorado). Their tentative name is FRIO (Front Range Island Owners). They've had their inaugural meeting and sailing event, planned four more events before the end of the boating season, and established a website (http://frio.vze.com) with a link to this community forum. They are sponsored by the local dealer called The New Anchorage.

Cool!! I may have to try and hook up with you this fall..

Do you do any trips to the mountain lakes? I sail an AI usually either in the Denver area or at Elevenmile state park. Elevenmile is an absolutely great place for the AI but you need foul weather gear for the really good sailing days (I have a dry suit)..

As a matter of fact, 11-mile is a venue of interest for the 33 of us. We have two members near the Springs. One lives near Cheyenne Mountain. You should sign up with FRIO (no dues). See the website at http://frio.vze.com

John, I sent my info to the web site. I may try and hook up with you guys this fall (Saturday would have been good but the wife has different plans for me..).

If you guys do come up to Elevenmile, I can help host - have a cabin up there less than a mile from the lake for after sailing hanging out (barbeque and hot dog roasting spot). I was just up there yesterday and the Aspen are just starting to turn. The weekend of Sept 24 could be real good but its 8600 feet so you have to watch the weather.
