So guys what colour 2015s have you ordered? I've gone for papaya this time, though I must admit I still like dune. There's no way I'm changing now lol

Papaya TI. Bright, cheerful color! I've also been watching lots of AI/TI Youtube videos and I like the way it looks best.

I have a dune Outback, I like the color okay but it really blends in to the background and I wanted something that'd stand out more for safety around other boats.

And I just don't care for red...

I went from reed to yellow, couldn't do dune as it just doesn't stand out enough here

Papaya is definately the most practical and safest colour as it stands out in the blue sea the most, especially if you're out in the ocean and there are lots of boats around (you want to be seen). Dune looks the most nautical and red always fades in my experience

Red. It's my favorite color.

My 2011 AI is dune; my 2015 AI (on order) is dune. Papaya is definitely the most visible and safest if you are worried about being lost at sea. But, if you are doing some kind of "stealth" camping, then dune is your preferred color.

My 2010 AI is red - which I liked and still do.

Strangly.. I fretted too much about the color I would pick for the new TI.. but I liked the dune color and to some extent.. just wanted a change.

Recently I showed the new dune TI to my wife.. I was all proud and happy about the new boat.

First thing she said.. "I dont like the color"..

Which.. I promply got over.. LOL..

What I really wanted is the dune TI but with a black trim sail instead of the blue trim.. sort of pirate looking.. But.. the blue trim sail is growing on me.

Hobies brochure from 2008 showing a red A.I. on inky black water illuminated by a soft light kind of made the decision for me to go Red. The power of advertising!
All colors look good in their range.

I went Moss Green. I had to pull some strings and it cost me $10K extra for a 1 off but then again, who wants to look like everyone else

(if you believe that, I have this bridge for sale )

I asked if Hobie could do one in caribbean blue, but the reason Islands don't come in that color was do to bad visibility. My AI is red, so decided on ivory dune because it's fade proof and I like the blue accents on the sail.

A bright green could be interesting.

Hell, if your willing to pay for a custom color I don't see why Hobie couldn't make it in any color you choose. Offer your standard 3 colors and charge $300+ for a custom color.

A couple more colours in the range wouldn't be a bad thing would it, they could be made to order special colours. Hmm thats made me think why not a limited edition range of Hobies

Papaya doesn't fade, my last two were great. Time for a change now, Ivory Dune it is.
