just wondering how others are installing the sonar?

I have installed the transducer on the bottom mount and ran the wire through the pre cable plug at the back. However, you have to be a professional basket ball player or orangutan ( very very long arms) to reach the cable plug backing to screw back in.

Any ideas? I am not a small guy (1.78cm) but I need extra 15cm reach.

So, some guys around here swear that if you lay on thre hull or prop it at a 45degree angle you can rwach the fiting.
Didnt work for me.
I found that the gray PVC pipe and a coupler in 3/4 ( i think) for irrigation works perfectly to replace the nut. I just put a 6" piece of pipe and a couple fitting, then threaded the cable thru, and bam, instant handle. Also seems to work to keep the cable off the bottom of the hull.

No idea if the metric threads would work, but worth a shot.

I struggled with it to, but got there in the end. If you take the centre 8" hatch rim off you'll gain an extra inch of reach. Its simple enough to put back on again. Good luck!
