Hello, I purchased my Tandem Island 3 months ago and paid for State registration for the boat as well as the tag for the trailer. So far I have received neither and the dealer has not been very helpful. I have emailed them many times which they usually ignore altogether until I break down and call them. The first temp tag expired and after numerous calls, emails, and broken promises they finally sent me another one 3 weeks later. They also said they made some error with the boat registration but I should receive it by July 4th. Well, here it is July 22nd and again I have an expired tag and no registration.

It is extremely frustrating dealing with a business who continues to ignore your emails and makes false promises.

I am hoping someone from Hobie can help me get this resolved so I can enjoy my Tandem Island without worrying about getting pulled over for expired tags.

Thanks for the email address. The dealer just contacted me again saying there were some problems with the MD DNR and MVA and that it should be straightened out now. I will give them a few days before writing the letter but not holding my breath.

If the dealer continues to drag his feet ask him for all the paperwork and take it to the motor vehicle department yourself. If there really is a problem you will know exactly what it is and can probably resolve it faster than the dealer will care to.
