I just bought a used Adventure island, no our first outing the bolt holding the rudder mount to the boat snapped. I attempted to remove it by drilling out the bolt, in the process the I stripped the threads.

My thinking now is that my only option is to drill through the brass fitting and putt a nut on the back side.

Suggestions?

How much for a new hull?

Could you go with a larger bolt and tap larger treads in to the existing brass fitting? Bet that would work.
