So curious to know who else has named their TI/AI. What name did you use and do you display on your island? Here's a couple of pictures of the vinyl decals that I just applied.

As a database guy, I will be laughing about that for a while. Very clever name.

Thanks!

SemperFnJ - That looks great! I didn't really want to add more to the bow because my stupid registration numbers take up a large chunk of real estate. So I went with the area between the large "Hobie" logo and the "Tandem Isaland" logo.

I think all boats should have names. Being a classical musician, my AI is the JS Bach

My TI is named "SIC EM" as its purchase was funded by the sale of my beloved Subaru WRX, which had SIC EM numberplates.

WRXs are commonly called Rexes, so young boys would call out as I drove past "Sic 'em Rex!".

But what always makes me smile, is remembering the other use of "Sic 'em Rex" :D

It was some years later that I discovered, to my horror, that the phonetic pronunciation of "Sic em" was a highly offensive term in Turkish, so I had been driving my car around offending a section of the community, and NOW I understand why a bunch of young male Turkish tourists asked for a photo of them with my car!

SIC EM, it just keeps on giving...

PS. I sold the plates eventually for several $000s too :)

Awesome! I love the mermaid. I thought about redoing the registration with the same color and font. Maybe next month ;)

Just search online for KAYAK SHARK DECAL. A few different versions available. Colors to match all 3 offered.

Now that's awesome! I wonder if wrapping your boat to look like the fish you are fishing for helps catch more of that fish?
