Beach side storage while on vacation?

I just picked up my 2017 TI. It hasn't even seen it's maiden voyage.

I'll be heading shortly for OBX, NC on vacation with a water front rental and the TI will of course be accompanying us.

In the past when we've stayed at this place, we'd just drag the kayaks, wind surfers, SUP, etc. up on the ground when not in use, leaving them for the week ready to go.

I'm hoping to do the same with the TI. Any concerns I should have just letting it sit on the ground? Any special precautions I should make? Ideally, I'd like to keep it full rigged water side wit the mast on and sail furled, that way we head out with minimal effort.

Unstepping and bagging the mast is such an easy task, I wouldn't omit it. If you have the spinnaker kit, add a short temporary extension to the halyard (which gives you more room to manouver the mast while it is down), so you can leave the mast topper in place, and slide the mast into the bag bottom first.

My halyard extension has a loop which clips into the snap-shackle at the top of the halyard, while the bottom clips on to a ring I added at the head of the spinnaker,. Once the mast is up, just connect the halyard to the head of the spinnaker and place the extension in one of the mesh pockets. The tack and the sheets all stay connected to the spinnaker at all times

Thanks for the tip. I rigged the TI for the first time yesterday in the yard. Incredibly easy. Good point on that storing the mast, I'll do that each night since it's a simple thing to do.

No spinnaker kit (yet).

I was more thinking about the hull, if leaving it upright on the ground will damage it, if it's left over night or a couple of days.

I think youd be okay leaving the TI on either sand or grass, but would avoid leaving it flat on concrete because of the heat. (pending direct sun- the sand will boil up as well) Id be most concerned with the seats and drives = asking for someone to take them.

I vacation Kitty Hawk all the time and bring my AIs. Ive left them down in the sand a few times. I'll use a Bike lock through the Mirage drive well around the steps beachside, and will bring in the accessories/sail/etc. NOTE: never had any issues with the hull flattening and the TI has less of a curve.
