In early 2019 bought a used 2018 Tandem Island and I've seen something about free upgrades/fixes that are available for this boat. Where can I get a list of what's available and how do I go about getting them?

Most of the upgrades were prior to the 2018 model year. Some or all may not apply to your boat.

Latest ones were offered as kits in early 2018:

180 upgrade? V1 fin to V2 / boom? That kit is readily available.

81501111 MD180 V2 BOOM-MAST-STD FIN KIT
81501112 MD180 V2 BOOM-MAST-TBO FIN KIT

Both have plenty of stock and would be ordered through the warranty process.

A noobie here. Are there any updates/fixes/accessories/other reasons to buy a 2018 or 2019 TI versus a 2020?

2020 has kick up fins... well worth it.

Hello Matt,

I have a 2017 tandem with the M180 V1 version fins. :'m sure the boat was built in 2016.
As johnny5dm asked. Are the V2 fin upgrades a free warranty issue?

thank you

That program has expired. There is nothing wrong with the V1. Just harder to swap the fins if you bend the mast.

Hi Matt,

When did this expire?
I've been working with my local Hobie dealer since last fall trying to get the replacement.

There was nothing official as far as a date. Any boat that had these is out of warranty by now, so that is the reason.
