2011 hobie vs 2017 redesign

Does anyone have any experience of these boats. I've only rented the 2026 and it performed amazingly close hauled and on a beam reach of 20+knots and waves due to wind against tide. I was able to reach 9+ knots. I had an absolute blast and it's what I am looking for performance wise in a sailing kayak.

I understand the post 2015 redesign was centered around improving sailing performance. I'm looking at two used in my area and the 2011 appeals due to lighter weight and ease of car topping solo, but I would be disappointed if it couldn't sail as well on those conditions.
