Having got my tandem island and revo out of storage I was rather concerned to find that all of the power lines that go from the battery to the evolve drives have perished. Not a bit but a lot.
This happens not only to the extension cables but to the leads on the drive units as well.
The UK distributors are not aware of the potential that this could have with a lipo battery connected and do not know what the part numbers for the replacement cables are.
As there are no ways to contact Hobie US from the UK I am at rather a loss as to what to do. I am trying to get a response from the European distributors at the moment - we shall wait and see if they come back.
Torqueedo who make the units for Hobie are similarly unhelpful just saying that their distributors are fully trained and can help. Not so far seeing as one they pointed me to do not deal with Torqueedo any more.
So does anyone have a solution, part numbers or even better a source for the Amphenol connectors so that I could at least make up some of my own leads.
