Anchors away... I wanted to be able to anchor fore and aft without a trolly system. I had to be able to reach the cleats to tie off so the control of my position in the water was somewhat limited to reach. It all works well enough and allows me to choose the direction I am facing when the winds are blowing. I can untie easily and quickly throw the cord overboard if I need to follow a fish or am being approached by another craft. The float is attached to the line so I can see it and retrieve it after I have landed the trophy fish.

did you cut holes in your sideboards for rod holders?

Yes I did and it works fine. They lean toward me and I use the first tether from the side rail to fasten a safety. Easy to reach and keep an eye on.
