Saw this story on the national news this evening. A kayak fisherman was about a half-mile offshore in the Gulf of Mexco when a very frightened dog showed up next to his rig. The rescue was recorded on the yaks videocam. Subsequent to this video being released on YouTube, additional details came out. Turns out that the dog and owner were out jogging when they were struck by a drunk driver. The owner was killed, but the injured dog bolted, jumped into the Gulf of Mexico and was just swimming far away when he happened upon the fisherman.

Alcohol is wonderful, I wonder what would have happened if he was smoking an illegal substance instead?

He wouldn't have had those beer muscles. The dirtbag was running from another accident when he killed the jogger and crashed.
Really feel sorry for everyone involved .......... but at least the dog is home safely and being well cared for ......

...... and Hobie strikes again !!!!!!
