I'm trying to figure out the best place to mount the GPS receiver antenna for my Humminbird 998c on the Pro Angler. Does anyone else have one mounted? Also, does it have to be mounted to the outside of the Pro Angler, or will it receive through the hull?

Are you talking about the white hockey puck looking part? It will need to be mounted in the open with a clear shot of the sky, it will not work from inside the hull. I saw someone had theirs mounted on the round Hobie insignia on the front of their PA. I have two Humminbird FF, one has an external GPS reciever and the other FF has an internal GPS reciever. I use the internal GPS reciever FF on my PA and the external GPS FF is used on my boat, the external GPS puck is mounted on the stern with a clear shot of the sky at all times.
