:D Hi All, I just join the forums today, tomorrow I'm going to the Tradex Show in Abbortsford, British-Columbia. I will have the pleasure to buy my first Hobie Mirage Pro Angler. Looking forward to my first fishing trip. I still have to figure out how to fit the kayak on top of my Smart Car. Anyway I tough I could start a tread were people will input any idea or mod they have done to their Pro Angler. The main reason for this tread really is to help me to have any good idea and better improve my use of the kayak. I would like to see how people install new gadgets and were and why they did it that way.
Thank you for your respond. :D

Welcome to the site!!!
I really don't think that you should put a PA on the roof of a Smart Car. If you do, please post a photo. If I owned acar like that, I think I would invest in a small, light weight trailer and transport my PA in that manner. I don't believe that car is designed to carry a heavy weight on it's roof. I have a 20 yr old Mazda and use a small trailer for my PA, no muss, no fuss, no lifting, & tows like a dream. Good luck.
Regards....

Don't put the PA on the smart car! ( I am really hoping you are pulling our leg) You are just asking for trouble.

Trailer hitches are made for the Smart car......range from $135 to $325.
I too own a smart car and have been thinking installing a hitch.
I also have a Hobie Trailex trailer.......it weighs about 150 pounds to haul around my Outback behind my Subaru.
The Smart car would have no issues towing the all aluminum trailer as 70 hp is plenty of pulling power.

To save on gas we put a trailer hitch on my wife's Honda Insight Hybrid. Pulls a duel jet ski trailer hauling 2012 Outback and 2011 Pro Angler with no problems.

Ok the reason why I want to put the PA on top of my smart car is that I'm towing my Smart Car behind my motorhome. When I bought my PA they told me it was feasable to put the PA on top. If you go to the following link it show how to do it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjDHxgA2BJI. But I will listen to your comment and will look further into it.
Thank you All.

So you are actually using your Smart Car as a "trailer" on which to carry your PA being towed behind your motor home?? Interesting. Please post photos and let us know how you make out. Regards....
