I've stored mine on my trailer with PVC bunks for 3 years (PA14) with no issues. I back right down the ramp and launch and load. I rarely ever lift the kayak, it's either in the water or on the trailer. I take it off the trailer in the yard to clean it.

I have the same trailer for my Pro Angler 12. I mounted the OEM Hobie Guides using Electricians UniStrut. Used standard 3inch U-Bolts to mount Strut to trailer frame and UniStrut Spring Bolts to mount the guides to the struts. All parts available at Home Depot. All the tools you need is a tape measure, hack saw to cut the strut, misc wrenches and some fender washers to put between the bolt and the plastic guide to protect it from breaking thru. Self adhesive pads then cover the bolts. Takes all of an hour to complete..
