Hello everyone!
We bought our first Hobie yesterday after owning kayaks and canoes. We found a deal on a Pro Angler 17T that was too good to pass up. This is the first trailered watercraft we have owned so I know very little about it so I apologize in advance. I have a few questions about the trailer. A lot of the dealers here in Orlando are using continental trailers, that seem a bit short. Ours came with a Continental WC2E12 which is a 13ft long galvanized pwc trailer. It is 56" wide and has two wood bunks that the PA17t hull is resting on. There was no bow strap included so it is just tied down. I am concerned about deformation of the hull and stability. The dealer said I need to widen the bunks and that would help with stability. I am attaching photos of the trailer and some with the PA17 strapped to it. I'm curious to hear what everyone recommends. If it is ok on the bunks should I just widen them and get a bow stop? Another main concern is the overhang on the back of the trailer is close to 6 feet. So I would need flags, lights and reflective tape to be legal.

After checking locally, I was able to work with the dealer to return the trailer and went to academy and bought the same trailer as stxhunter. I was able to build the trailer out like his, so thanks stxhunter for the great write up. I'll post some pictures tonight when I get home.
