I would add the gear bucket to replace the tangle management system in the hatch in front of the seat. Inexpensive and much more versatile.

Trailer, unless you have a big pick up bed....PFD, safety flag, hand operated bilge pump, at least a 25 foot launch/dock line, anchor + line, a base and mount for your fish finder, Hobie battery and wiring kit (charger is included), maybe a launch cart if no trailer, first aid kit, net, etc........don't over do it with extras until you really get on the water to see what you actually need other than the basics I mentioned.....

Are there any other must-haves? While I have the wife in agreement to lay down the cash, I would like to get all I need to jump start fall fishing.

Ya, buy your wife an Outback or a Revo and have her join you!

I found a 2015 Pro Angler 14 in my local store and they were willing to part with it to make room for the 2016s. The price was good enough to so I could afford a couple of upgrades. The sales staff said that they would start receiving their 2016 pro anglers in November. They confirmed that the only minor changes to the 2016 PA14 would be as follows:
· The paddles that comes with the PA will now be longer at 260cm.
· Recessed tracking keel to minimize contact with the skeg when loading and unloading
· Lowrance-Ready Thru Hull Wire Plugs will now have a 3-way connector
· Padeye XL is a new padeye that will allow for multiple connections for accessories such as the Livewell and the H-Crate.

I am now going to travel to another state to have an on the water demo. They have a couple of 2015s in stock and might be bring one home with me. With my old knees, I am hoping I don't need a crane to stand and sit down. (My Jon Boat is getting hard to horse in and out of the water).

I was thinking about the Lowrance 4X-Chrip, the Livewell, a couple rod holders and a coupe of clamp on tackle boxes. I already have the safety equipment, rods, tackle and etc.

Its always better to buy new rods and reels to suit the new Kayak, its common knowledge that all husbands know...
