steering drum upgrade

hello, I finally added a pro angler to go with my slayer propel in an attempt to see if I was happier with either. I took it out today for the first time and am overjoyed with it except how sensitive the rudder input is. (and the skeg control line already maring/cutting into the hull) I could have swore i seen something awhile back about a different steering drum to make the input less sensitive but can't find it now. if I'm not imagining things does anyone know which drum is in the 2016 pa14? also someone in another forum mentioned there is supposed to be a metal insert in the hole that the skeg line passes through,(not there on mine) is this correct? Thanks

The 2016 comes with the latest steering drum. Use the keel to get better tracking. Raise it for better maneuvering.

The line that passes down to the tracking keel will indent the plastic... not a concern over time. There is no metal part there. The plastic is soft and gets a smooth radius and then takes a set.

wow thanks. can't imagine how sensitive it was before with the other drum. I have a long rudder handle on both sides because there wasn't much to grab onto with the little knob.I have molded a piece of plastic to go under the control line to prevent it from digging any deeper. Thanks for the help.
