I asked for the spacers but they have not said they plan on sending me them. I asked again yesterday evening over email and no response yet. I wonder if half inch is needed or if 1/3" would be better. Maybe they are researching.

ACK only sells the kit and Cabelas doesn't have any in stock according to their site. I plan on calling cabelas tomorrow and if they don't have one in stock I'm just going to order one directly from yakattack.

I agree when it comes to aesthetics and Hobie's power pole mounting kit bugs me. I wish there were some color options. Black would have been a better choice IMO so I think I will plastidip it black if I end up going that route. The Orion coolers weren't out yet when I bought the Coosa so I just went with a Pelican. Doesn't match the boat and isn't as cool but it is much more affordable and holds ice as good as a Yeti.

I saw some pictures of your trailer when I was reading about different trailer setups for the PA. I would rather have your setup than the Yakima but a lack of space won't let me go that route.

Thanks for taking the time to help out.

you could get some tan or olive vinyl paint, it soaks into vinyl and most plastics.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into that. I was thinking plastidip since it can be peeled of if I didn't like how it turned out.

I think quite a few people have had them vinyl wrapped. Thinking that is the route I will go - black of course! Wondering if the badge will pop off the Power Pole mount, or if I will need to order one from Hobie. These little aesthetic thing bug the crap out of me. But I figure I spent a lot on this boat and spend a LOT of time on it, so I want it to look great.

FYI - spent about an hour on the water before work. Picked up four fish on the big ol River2Sea Double Plopper. Including a 21" just under 4lbs, and a 19" that was 4lb 3oz. There is nothing better than catching big bass on Top Water.

I didn't measure the gap but figured I could always make them smaller by sanding them down with my belt sander. I'm sure they will send you some. I have a feeling they are getting a lot of calls about this. He told me he had 7 calls for this issue on the day I called him. The guy I talked to on the phone was very helpful and I've never heard anything bad about their customer service. I even offered to give them some money since they never claimed it would work with my boat but he declined the offer. He said he would send a return shipping label so I can send the bar from the PA kit. I plan on sending all 3 bars with it. They would just go in the trash if not and I'm sure they will make good use of them.

Good luck

Now that sounds like an awesome idea. Your advise has been awesome and I appreciate it. I just received my leverloc anchor trolley and installed it. The guides and cleat are so much better than the kit I bought but I'm not a huge fan of the attachment method. Not saying it won't work but I've always used rivets on the Coosa. Makes me want to swap the one I have on the Coosa.

I just bought some whopper poppers and a drift sock at bass pro. Plan on using them at lakeside park tomorrow morning. Never been there but heard the fishing is good.

I just talked to a guy at boonedox and he told me that he has had over 45 people with the same issue we are having. When I originally talked to him only a handful of people called with this issue so he thought the parts would be sent out fairly quick. Needless to say all of the calls have slowed the process down and he is expecting a batch of the needed parts on Monday. They will be offering a new 2017 PA kit to avoid this in the future. Bummed out a little but I'm glad they are taking care of all of us even if it takes a couple weeks. The cart I use for my Coosa is not easy to use with the PA but at least I have something.

Has anyone had an issue with the pull cord on the 2017 PA. I had me kayak out for the second time and the forward pull lever broke off in my hand. Any idea how to fix it.

I don't know this for sure but I would guess the face of the handle will pop off and expose a hole. If this is the case you should be able to thread the rope through it, tie a knot and pop the cover back on.

I assume you are talking about the skeg or rudder.

Did you ever buy a power pole micro and if so did you have the mount wrapped? I just installed some super nova deck lights and a switch panel in a hobie front hatch bucket. Now I have 2 batteries and the switch panel controls power to the lights, fish finder and my power pole. I modified the hobie power pole mount to conceal the power wire but haven't soldered my grounds or the positive to the power pole since I want to wrap the mount. I've called 2 places but they only do commercial work.

The modification to the mount really looks good but the fact that it's white really bugs me. If I don't find a local shop to wrap it I guess I'll just have to try the plasti dip.

Here's the modification. Makes it look so much better. I didn't like the wire flopping all over the place.
