I'm looking to move into a Pro Angler. I have an older Lowrance HDS2 that I've used on my compass. I have the standard transducer in the lowrance pod, and I use a Ram arm on the side for the side scan transducer. I'm curious if I'd be able to mount both to the Guardian transducer plate and not have to use the ram arm extension anymore. Basically, I'd like to install both transducers on the guardian plate. Has anyone done this? The unit works great and I don't want to spend the money to upgrade.

So would the transducers need to be mounted side by side? If so I wouldn't think that would work. I have a 2020 Outback with the Guardian plate and I don't see room to mount them side by side. One on top another would be questionable depending on the size of the transducers.

Currently, they’re mounted about 18” apart. I was wondering if the guardian has room to mount them side by side. I need to go to a local shop and measure.

Again I don't know the size of your transducers but unless they are only a couple inches wide I don't think there is room to mount them side by side in the Guardian plate.

Thanks, It seems I won't be able to fit both transducers on there at the same time. After a little research, this thread highlights my issue:

I got the unit free when my uncle upgraded his on his boat, so I'll just stick with the over-the-side arm for now. Save up and upgrade later. Thanks
