Received a replacement pa 14 360 xr. First time out was fine until 1/4 mile then 360 drive engages by itself. I pedal left and right, 360 drive rotates alternatively going no where. I would lock the xr mechanism into place to go straight only and works fine but disengages the lock by itself also when more pressure is put on. Have to bungee lock up so it doesn't engage back down to get back to ramp. Hope all that makes sense. Lmk what yall think. Dealer is taking there time on this and supposedly contacting hobie about this problem with new xr. Thanks

If the drive engages by itself and the lock isn't holding, it might be a mechanical fault or an adjustment issue. Since the dealer is involved, hopefully, they’ll get it sorted out soon.

Yeah, I've tried turning dial to get it tight and loosen tension. Keeps sliiping, seems the drive gear and hull mechanism gear not aligned fully and can hear it grind and slip.
