As you may know, I have a new PA. I am trying not spend any more than I have to..to rig it.. so I am doing what most yakanglers do....DIY.

Here is my first contraption inspired by other diy'ers and by yakattack. I really want their visipole and eventually I will get it. In the meantime, I am having fun saving money :mrgreen:

I hope this is helpful to someone.

Yea, I have the visipole II and kinda thought the light output was weak. Then one evening I had it in the garage and turned it on. It's like a flashlight; the light comes straight out the top. Great I suppose if you are signalling air craft, but a very poor design for a light to signal where your craft is to other boaters.

Eventually, I took this light, from ATTWOOD, the LED bow and stern light combo and used the stern light on top of the visipole light. It's a perfect taper fit and a dab of super glue holds it on. the ATTWOOD light directs ALL of it's light in the horizontal plane, not like the visipole witch directs most of it's light energy straight up into the sky.

Here's my final configuration;
