I recently went to Hobie dealership here in Australia and bought a PA12. I took it home and did not noticed a blade cutting mark on the back. (see attached photo) I contacted the dealer and enquired about the issue. The guy said it is normal and it happens during transportation from State to Australia. Do you guys think I should accept this defective PA 12 or it is Hobie like to be with their new customer

Contact Hobie and see what they tell you to do. They will always say contact your dealer, but with some advice in the contact so you are an educated buyer. Get my drift?

It's a scuff... not a defect.

The dealer may be right. There is a lot of handling that happens between our factory ovens and the final delivery to a consumer.

In any case, it is cosmetic, but you should be happy with what you bought and that is between you and the dealer from who you purchased the boat. The dealer can discuss it with Hobie Australasia if they feel they received it that way and need compensation (that might be from a delivering trucking company too).
