I trolled a local lake for five hours yesterday; I caught fish, but that's not the strange incident, LOL!
When I lifted the bow to get my Prangler atop my Toyota Highlander, I saw about half a gallon of water come out of the stern. "Hmmmmm," I thought, "THAT never happened before..." Then when I got the stern up, I noticed that both drain plugs were open. In fact, one was missing!
Darn good thing the plugs normally ride above the waterline, eh? I'd taken a few water-ski-boat waves from the rear and that's when the water must have entered.
On the drive home, I wondered how I'd lost one of the plugs, and then remembered that I'd washed the boat after my last trip and must have left the plugs out. Got home and found the absent plug on my driveway. I must have scraped it loose while loading up.
One more item added to my pre-trip checklist: Check/tighten drain plugs.
