I just purchased a PA 12 and my budget is kind of tight. Im not to savy when it comes to fish finders, so I was wondering if the Lowrance Elite 3X @ $99 is worth the price? Also, I noticed the Remco battery in the Hobie book. What other decent rechargeable options are out there? Thanks!...

This is just me and everybody has their favorite, but after trying a Garmin unit I ditched all my Lowrance and Eagle units.

Sorry for not responding specifically to your stated unit. I'm afraid I have no experience with that one.

Thanks for the response but as usual, I'm going fishing this weekend and impulse buying got the best of me :P So I bought the 3X and the III installation kit. The Remco battery package is pretty nice and compact! I'm wondering how many accessories it can power and for how long?
