Took my brand new Pro 14 out today for its first maiden voyage. Turns out I'm Fat and out of shape and you guys never told me. :D , Anyway everything went as expected and I'm tired. I think my wife (who first opposed it) will like it that hopefully it will get me into some kind of shape. Thanks to all who answered my questions over this past year and I'm glad I'm part of the Hobie Club

if you cut back on beers and watch your diet, regularly using your PA will reduce your waist line over time.....its a great way to get in shape while having fun at the same time

I am a fat old guy also. I have given up on graceful entrances and exits and being dry, but I have probably sold a few Hobies with all the questions and "oh wow, what is that?" that I have gotten from other boaters and kayakers. Its really not much of a work out and you will be able to go distances and at speeds that conventional kayakers will never be able to. Once you get used to it and being wet you will be in love. These are great boats. Best money I have ever spent.

Ha ha Mike, I have the same problem, but fishing with exercise must be good for us :-). Soon those Lady Yackers will be chasing us on the water......

Spent all day on the water with a rod this time. Did not catch any fish and still had a great day. Think I'm in love.

I have been out for the past three evenings and other boaters keep commenting on how fast and far I go in my Hobie. Being a fat old guy also this is the best money I have ever spent. Hell of a lot of fun and freedom.

Sixty-eight and overweight here. It must be universal to have other boaters, yakkers, and 'tooners ask, "What IS that boat, and are you really pedaling it?" Amazement flows in my wake.

Getting ready to turn 60. Not overweight...lol. I get a lot of the same comments and I used to be one of those boaters with a high end bass boat. Buying a PA was the best money I ever spent related to fishing. The experience is so different and so much more enjoyable. Getting ready to buy my 3rd PA and do not regret the expenditure at all. :D
