Just bought a 2016 PA 14 from OKC Kayak in Oklahoma City last week. No experience in it yet due to 30+ mph winds since I brought it home.

Look forward to learning a lot here.

Phil

First kayak or first Hobie? I had the same thing happen the day I brought mine home last Friday. Took it out anyway. Not much fun fishing in 30 MPH winds, but pretty fun peddling thru the white caps! Going to be 65 and calm in the St. Louis region tomorrow. I am going to run it down to Kinkaid Lake in Southern Illinois in the morning, hoping to get a few bites. Have fun with the new boat!

Welcome to the family and the addiction. Wind is tough in thee Midwest. I'm planning to go out here in about an hour or so. 55 degrees with 12 mph winds out of the SSE here in Kansas. Hoping to pick up a couple of saugeyes this afternoon and evening.

This is my first kayak. Tomorrow is looking good here in southern Kansas.

FYI - I'm a St.Louis Cardinals Fan.

I am technically still a Cowboy fan since I moved here from Texas about 10 months ago.

Thinking about going with a Lowrance Hook 7. Do I need to go with the 1" or 1.5" ball for the ram pieces?

I upgraded to the Lowrance 7Ti and went with the 1.5" Ram ball.
