I agree with Dr. Steelheadchaser. I relieve pressure on everything when I return my PA to the shop where I store it.
I let the rudder down, release the rudder tensioner and the one on the back of my seat, too. I also make sure none of my leashes are being stretched and likewise undo the tiedown cords in the back and on the hatch. I know shock cord can stretch out or rot so I'd like to maximize their life, too.
Basically if it stretches or is under pressure, I release or relieve it. May not make any difference except in my head....but I do it any way.
